Matriculation Ceremony for Faculty of Art Freshmen

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology on Thursday, October 03, 2019 held the matriculation ceremony for the College of Art and Built Environment at the Great Hall. This was done to formally admit freshmen into the University community for the 2019/2020 academic year.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Kwasi Obiri Danso in his address, congratulated the students on their admission into the most prestigious public University in Ghana. He urged the students to focus on their education in order for them to be successful in the future. He further admonished them to make use of the faculties and opportunities available to them on campus and encouraged them to bring out their best efforts in the department they find themselves.

Out of the 22,011 number of admitted students, 907 students are in the Faculty of Art with 197 students admitted into the Department of Communication Design.

A representative from the KNUST Counselling Centre (KCC) Miss Akua Afriyie Addae reminded the freshmen that the Counselling Team is there to offer emotional and psychological support to both students and staff. She encouraged the students to feel free to call on them for any assistance.

The Registrar, Mr. Andrews Kwasi Boateng administered the matriculation oath to the newly admitted students.
